About Doctor

I have completed my undergraduate medical education (MBBS) from MNR Medical College, Sangareddy, followed by internship at Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad. I pursued M.S, General Surgery training at the prestigious Kurnool medical College, Kurnool. My ardent interest in the field of minimally invasive GI Surgery led me to obtain advanced laparoscopic / robotic surgery training under the tutelage of the laparoscopic legend Dr. C. Palanivelu at the Mecca of Laparoscopy – GEM Hospital, Coimbatore.
I am a Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist in the Division of Upper GI & Minimal Access Surgery at GEM Hospital Chennai, since October 2021. My special areas of interest include: Laparoscopic / Thoracoscopic management of esophageal / gastric tumors / GISTs as well as corrosive injuries. My other focus is in the area of Peptic Ulcer Disease / GERD and Redo-surgery for failed fundoplication / cardiomyotomy. I have considerable proficiency in laparoscopic / robotic hernia surgery & abdominal wall reconstructions as well.
