Interventional Radiology
GEM intervention Radiology holds its pride to buttress the concept of minimally invasive procedure with radiology guided intervention for diagnosis and treatment.
The Department of Interventional Radiology uses minimally-invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases of nearly every organ system.
Interventional radiology is both a diagnostic and therapeutic speciality, where procedures are performed through a puncture the size of a pinhole, even through of veins and arteries. There is no major cutting, bleeding or need mandatory for anaesthesia.
Our team is primarily an excellent diagnostic radiology team lead by Senior Consultant Dr. V. Aravinda Narasimhan. He is trained for excellent diagnosis of imaging with overwhelmed experience in interpretation of CT, MRI, PET and ultrasound.
Some of the benefits of Interventional Radiology Procedures are:
- Minimally invasive
- Reduced Risk
- No Suture
- No Scar
- Less pain
- Faster recovery
We perform all kinds of intervention procedures like
