I received my undergraduate medical education from Madurai Medical College and General Surgery training from Stanley Medical College, Chennai. My passion for GI and HPB surgery drove me to obtain higher Speciality training i.e M.Ch in Surgical Gastroenterology from the prestigious Madras Medical College, Chennai which was the first in the country to start the Surgical gastroenterology training program.
I have also undergone several international training such as Clinical Electives in Trauma/emergency surgery and Transplant surgery from Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, USA and Visiting Program in GI surgery Unit, Peking University Cancer Hospital, Beijing, China.
